LifeSpan Fit Desk review

The TX6 walking base paired with an SDG glass standing desk, with remote/app operation.

Sources checked 2026-10-22 · Our editorial approach

The bundle identifies TX6 and SDG. Strict matching retains 396 lb from the TX6 manual, 19.88 by 48 inches as conservative belt dimensions and the heavier 99 lb body-weight description. No 60-inch offer is established by the color-only selector.

A useful fit for

Useful when a 48-inch glass desktop and remote-controlled TX6 are both needed for a permanent workstation.

The main tradeoff

The full assembled footprint is not documented, and base weight and load figures differ across its linked TX6 sources.

LifeSpan Fit Desk: the TX6 walking base packaged with a glass standing desk. Fit Desk is a complete furniture-and-treadmill purchase, rather than a different TX6 motor or walking mechanism. Its value depends on needing the supplied SDG Glass Standing Desk. If an existing desk already has suitable clearance and adjustment, the base-only TX6 may be a simpler comparison.

Check what the glass desktop contributes

The package describes an SDG glass desktop, listed as 48 inches wide and 30 inches deep, with a 25–52-inch adjustment range and three height presets. The desk also provides charging connections. Plan where a monitor, keyboard and pointing device will sit, then check whether the complete arrangement works at your standing height on the belt.

Some package text also mentions a 60-inch desk, despite the named glass desk's 48-inch specification and a selector offering colors rather than a desktop-size choice. This review assesses the documented 48-inch SDG arrangement. It does not treat a passing reference to 60 inches as proof that a larger glass top is selectable or supplied.

Do not mix the two load ratings

The desk's stated 265 lb equipment allowance is different from the treadmill's user allowance. Neither should replace the other. A desktop rating concerns the supported work equipment; the treadmill rating concerns the load on the moving base. Ask for clarification before making any near-boundary decision or placing unusually heavy equipment on the desk.

The bundle page advertises 400 lb/180 kg for the treadmill. The named TX6's own guide prints both 400 lb and a lower 396 lb description for 180 kg. Our essential user-load comparison retains 396 lb. That avoids treating a larger promotional figure as permission to exceed the lower explicitly printed manual limit.

The standard control route is TX6 operation

The TX6 base supplies a handheld remote, and its guide documents app operation and a 0.4–6.0 mph range. The Fit Desk page also lists that range. An optional Omni-Hub console is a separate configuration: the TX6 product description says it limits speed to 4 mph, and the guide says connecting desk control disables the remote. Do not assume a glass desk includes that extra console.

A higher available speed is not a recommended working pace. Learn start, stop, child lock and the optional 2 mph speed lock before handling work equipment. Begin with walking alone, then add a simple task at a steady pace. Stop whenever a task requires more concentration than you can comfortably divide.

Measure both furniture and treadmill

The bundle's detailed table lists a 60.6 by 28 by 5.8-inch treadmill. Other promotional text rounds its height to 5.9 inches. The desktop and frame occupy additional space around that base. These component dimensions are not a complete assembled-floor drawing, so obtain one if the workstation must fit a particularly tight room.

The base's nominal 20 by 48.43-inch belt differs from the TX6 guide's 19.88-inch width. A strict minimum-width comparison uses 19.88 inches; the separate base page also gives a shorter 48-inch length, which is retained conservatively. Check the actual unit if a measurement at those boundaries decides the purchase.

Allow for substantial delivery and care

Fit Desk lists a treadmill weight of 98.4 lb in one table and rounds it to 99 lb elsewhere, plus a 111.32 lb desk. The base-only page and TX6 manual add further weight differences. Our maximum-body-weight comparison uses 99 lb for this package, while delivery planning must separately account for the desk and each packed component.

The manufacturer recommends seven hours of daily treadmill use and identifies a self-lubricating TX6 belt. Neither statement eliminates inspection, cleaning or the need to follow the exact instructions. Do not apply another LifeSpan model's silicone-lubrication schedule simply because both products are under-desk treadmills.

Choose Fit Desk when you need its glass surface and TX6 configuration together and accept the component weights. The TX6 base serves an existing suitable desk. The Desk Dash Pro pairs the glass furniture with a wired-console TR5000 arrangement and a different daily-use recommendation.
